Loxleys, greeting card manufacturer to many of the country’s leading independent card publishers, has successfully demonstrated to the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) assessors their ability to audit and prove chain of custody on FSC-approved materials used in the production of cards and all printed products.
Granting of this certification means that Loxleys can include the FSC logo on all appropriate work for their clients. The use of this trademark is strictly controlled and the license confined to those companies who have demonstrated that their systems can robustly legislate for the FSC standard through the manufacturing process – from receipt of raw material to delivery of finished goods to the client.
Multiple retailers have been urging their greeting card suppliers to demonstrate chain of custody by inclusion of the FSC logo. The logo confirms that the board and paper used in the product can be traced back to an environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable managed forest.
The FSC trademark on goods gives the consumer confidence that the goods being purchased (whether it is a timber product from yor local DIY store, or stationery items) are from an environmentally audited, friendly and well-managed source.
Loxleys are proud that granting of this FSC certification further underpins our focus and commitment to the greetings card industry.
