Loxleys invests further in the kit at their northern site, this time adding to their existing card bagging facilities.
Mechanised card bagging facilities
Having recently invested heavily in a B1 Flitter machine, Loxleys now focuses their attention on their mechanised card bagging facilities, purchasing both Charity Multi-Bag and Single Open Wrap Wallet Style packing machines to complement their existing single closed wrap packing machines on the site.
The two new machines significantly boost the in-house packing capacity of the company and in addition to single closed wrap Loxleys can now pack up to 10 cards/10 envelopes and a backing slip into a retail quality charity pack, as well as offering single open wrap wallet style packs with a price label.
Loxleys Commercial Director, Tony Lorriman, commented “given that our focus is purely on making greeting cards it is important that we offer our customers a cost effective and ethically sound bagging solution covering all pack formats so with the imminent rise in labour costs associated with the National Living Wage we felt it was strategically the right time to compliment our traditional hand packing supply base with further investment in additional in house automated solutions”.
